Working together
Improve our English draft
$100 to $150 if accepted. The minimum $100 applies only upon acceptance. Agree the payment tier before acceptance. $0 if rejected.
For improving our existing English lyric text, not recordings. Independent adaptations of Olga’s Russian lyrics use separate rates, even when an English demo exists.
Sign the one-song agreement before commissioned work. Agree permission before posting publicly. A link transfers no rights and guarantees no payment. Agreement details.
One song. A separate agreement
Our intended model is work for hire. Before commissioned work, both sides sign a one-song agreement covering scope, rights, payment and credit. Confirm the rate before acceptance.
Legal work-made-for-hire status depends on the commission’s use and signed agreement. This page is a summary, not a contract or ownership transfer.
U.S. Copyright Office: musical works and work made for hire.
Open Call: proposed release terms
You may sing or play an approved song. Record it in English, in our Russian version, or both. A new arrangement is welcome. Do not change our words.
From that one release you keep the money until the first $100,000 of gross, or five years from the release date, whichever comes first. After that, JewishHit.com takes 5% only of the amount above that line.
Reporting and composition income →Release reporting
One person, one song, one release, one ISRC. We issue or approve the ISRC. A new album does not start the $100,000 again.
You send a statement each quarter from your distributor for that ISRC. If you do not, this deal pauses. We may ask to check. Money for the composition (PRO, Songtrust) is a different purse. It is not this $100,000.
Explore the performer call →No automatic license
Until we accept in writing and both sides sign, you have no license. The waiting list is not acceptance. Best recordings may go on jewishhit.com.
The performer terms are a proposal, separate from the writing invitation. Existing signed agreements remain unchanged.

A sponsor may support a singer, a writer or a residency. Arrangers, composers, producers and community partners can help grow the wider project. Agree each collaboration’s scope separately from this English adaptation call.
JewishHit.com is operated by Rigli Publishing. Walter J. Kin is the producer. These summaries do not replace a signed agreement.
