Privacy

The short version

This site does not ask you for anything. There are no forms, no accounts, no newsletter signup, and no uploads. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information, because we do not collect it.

What we do measure

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. This tells us how many people came, roughly where in the world they came from, and which pages held their attention. It does not tell us who you are.

If you would rather not be counted, you can turn measurement off for this site from your browser, and your choice is remembered on your own device. We do not treat opting out as a reason to limit anything: the entire site stays available.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics and embedded video may set their own, under their own policies.

Video

Song pages embed video from YouTube. When a video loads, YouTube receives the request and applies its own privacy policy and its own cookies. We do not receive your viewing history from YouTube, and we do not connect it to anything.

Writing to us

The contact links on this site open your own email program with a message addressed to us. Nothing is sent until you send it. When you do write, we keep your message so that we can answer it, and we do not add you to any list.

Links out

We link to YouTube, to our other sites, and to public sources such as chart archives, libraries, and encyclopedias. Once you follow a link, that site's rules apply, not ours.

Children

Young people are welcome to read, listen, and sing. This site collects nothing from anyone, and that includes children. Where a young person takes part in a project connected to this site, that participation goes through a parent, guardian, or a trusted partner organization, with consent, and we do not publish a child's personal details.

Your choices

You can turn off measurement, block cookies in your browser, and reach us by email with any question about this page, including a request to delete a message you sent us.
