Literal: How to marry without making a bad choice.
The man is trying to avoid choosing badly, not merely wondering how to get married. His practical calculation sets up the woman's teasing answer.
Вот балалайка такие дела
Literal: There you are, balalaika; that is how things stand.
The singer addresses the instrument as a companion: that is how things stand, balalaika. The line is not identifying or pointing out the instrument.
Сердце пусть плачет но это не значит / Что я твоею стану женой
Literal: Let the heart cry, but that does not mean I will become your wife.
The emotional riddle does not bind the woman to a marriage. Preserve this turn rather than supplying a conventional romantic resolution.
Тумбала тумбала тумбалалайка / Трень балалайка брень балалайка
Literal: Refrain sounds, followed by an invitation for the balalaika to ring out.
The balalaika is a plucked string instrument. Treat the refrain as musical sound rather than inventing an English sentence or an unsupported word-by-word origin for its syllables.
Глупенький мой
Literal: My little silly one.
The diminutive makes the teasing affectionate. 'Idiot' would be much harsher than the woman's playful tone.
